Devour this scrumptious three-course meal for four with wine at The Star Inn, Harome. Under Andrew Pern's ownership since 1996, The Star Inn Restaurant has built up an admirable catalogue of awards and accolades, including a much treasured Michelin star, for its seasonal produce-led menus inspired by its Yorkshire locality. Chef/Director, Stephen Smith, named Yorkshire Life's Chef of the Year 2023, continues to develop The Star's menus maintaining the same sense of terroir and established standards.

Reviews for the award winning Star Inn at Harome are flawless. The Star Inn's proprietor, Andrew Pern, is keen to use the most local produce as possible, whether that's grouse sourced from a recent hunt, herbs from the kitchen garden or bread from the local Stonehouse bakery (the sourdough is provided as a complimentary starter to all meals, big or small). The modern Yorkshire menu, with plates that come with their own chef-led anecdotes, are both inventive and classic, with standout dishes including Pern’s creamy foie gras and black pudding signature dish, mouth-watering crab stick with tangy pickled cockles and cool avocado ice cream, oyster palate cleansers, and an interesting cep and white chocolate ice cream dessert with a rich quenelle of chocolate ganache topped with a white-chocolate ‘aero’.
